God rest the soul of Terri Schiavo.
She will no longer have to be center stage of a media circus. Whether or not Terri would have chosen life support or death is now irrelevant, but I wager she would NEVER have chosen to become such a spectacle in the press.
If any good comes from this sensationalized personal conflict, hopefully it is the awakening of America to the necessity of having a living will. If for no other reason than to force the media to find something else over which to be outraged.

Using Lucy's line of logic we need to withdraw all drugs and medical inventions that have come over the last 200+ years. Afterall, before we had them, people died peacefully - well, in some cases it might not have been peaceful or painless, but hey, it's better that we just let go, right Lucy?
Not exactly the line of logic IMHO.
I love how the people who are all for the medical advances of keeping the tube in are the same ones that wont let us use stem cells that could one day actually repair a brain like Schiavos.
